2019 Toyota Tacoma SR
First up in the list of 2019 Toyota Tacoma trim levels is the SR. While it may be the base trim, it’s packed with features to help liven up your commutes a bit.
There are two engines to choose from, both with impressive power ratings:
- 2.7L 4-cylinder: 159 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque
- 3.5L V6: 278 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque
Plus, it’s available in 4WDemand part-time 4WD, to help you maintain control in any environment, whether that’d be on-road or off-road.
Inside the truck is an Entune™ Audio infotainment system, which lets you stream audio or make phone calls hands-free via Bluetooth® technology. Plus, with the standard Toyota Safety Sense™ P (TSS-P) suite of driver-assisting technologies, you can have assistance with staying in your lane, seeing better at night, and more—for your complete peace of mind.
2019 Tacoma SR5
The Toyota Tacoma SR5 comes with the same performance specs as the SR trim. This includes a maximum towing capacity of 6,800 pounds when the truck is equipped with a 3.5L V6 6-speed Electronically Controlled Automatic Transmission with intelligence, and rear-wheel drive. So, if you want to hitch a camping trailer or ski boat to the back of your truck, you can do so with ease.
You get a bit of an upgrade with the infotainment system inside this trim. It’s equipped with Entune™ Audio Plus, which comes with a 3-month trial subscription to SiriusXM® Satellite Radio. This feature gives you over 100 music, news, sports, and comedy stations to choose from. As a result, you’re sure to find something new and fun to listen to on every drive.
All your media options will appear clearly on a 6.1-inch touchscreen. Plus, your music and phone calls will come through nicely with the 6-speaker sound system equipped in this trim.
Tacoma TRD Sport
With the 2019 Tacoma TRD Sport, you get the 3.5L V6 engine, plus an Automatic Limited-Slip Differential and Hill Start Assist Control. That last feature can help prevent the truck from rolling backward by holding the brakes while you move your foot off the brake pedal and onto the gas.
Inside this trim is an Entune™ Premium Audio infotainment system with Integrated Navigation and Entune® App Suite. Your route is shown clearly on a 7-inch high-resolution touchscreen. Plus, with the split-screen display, you can keep your maps up while simultaneously accessing audio and climate controls.
You also have the app suite, which lets you download popular apps like iHeartRadio® and Yelp®. Put those on your smartphone, then plug the phone into the truck’s USB port. Those apps will appear on the touchscreen, which means you won’t need to mess with your phone while driving.
2019 Tacoma TRD Off-Road
The Tacoma TRD Off-Road truly lives up to its name, as it lets you go off the beaten path whenever you want.
Included in this trim level is an off-road-tuned suspension with Bilstein® shocks. The shocks help soak up the impacts of any trail, keeping their cool and delivering consistent performance when needed.
This trim also comes with Multi-Terrain Select. This feature has five modes to choose from, with each one automatically adjusting the engine throttle and traction control. As a result, you’ll get an optimum grip on mud, sand, snow, and more.
To help you with your off-roading travels, even more, this version of the Tacoma has Crawl Control. It automatically adjusts the throttle and brakes on five low-speed settings, which will help you navigate across more challenging terrain easily.
2019 Toyota Tacoma Limited
You then have the Toyota Tacoma Limited, which has leather-trimmed seating and dual-zone automatic climate control. The latter lets you and your co-pilot adjust the cabin temperature, so you can both be comfortable at all times.
In addition to having the TSS-P suite, this trim comes with a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Whether you wish to switch lanes or back out of a parking space, this feature will warn you when a vehicle is in your blind spot. Once those alerts go away, you’ll know that the coast is clear.
Then, for entertainment, you have the Entune™ Premium JBL® Audio infotainment system with Integrated Navigation and Entune® App Suite. Not only will you still have that advanced navigation system and app suite, but everything will come in clearer than ever through the 6-speaker JBL® sound system.
Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro
Finally, you have the 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro. It comes with the same off-roading features as the TRD Off-Road, which includes Active Traction Control. This system can automatically help prevent the four wheels from spinning when you’re accelerating on a slippery surface so that you can stay in control.
You’ll also find the same technologies as the Limited trim, which includes a 4.2-inch color Multi-Information Display. Located between the speedometer and tachometer, this screen shows important info, like current MPG and TSS-P features.
Finally, this trim has a maximum payload of 1,175 pounds. You can load up all the equipment you need for work or a home project and keep it nice and secure with the innovative deck rail system. Four heavy-duty adjustable tie-down cleats will ensure that your cargo remains securely strapped down for the long haul.
