Community Spotlight: Witch’s Woods

Have you ever stopped to think about why the woods are often featured in so many horror movies? Is it because they’re often a vast, uninhabited space with no one around for miles? Could it be the towering trees that shield the ground from any moonlight? Or is it because, deep down, we know there’s something lurking in the shadows of those trees?

While what lurks in these shadows may normally hide themselves, at Witch’s Woods, they refuse to stay hidden. At Witch’s Woods, they make themselves known only seconds before trying to steal your soul. Will you survive this encounter? There’s only one way to find out. Keep reading to learn more.

Ways to Experience True Terror: Attractions at Witch’s Woods

There are lots of ways you can experience the horror at Witch’s Woods. Take a seat on the haunted hayride, where you can’t run from the werewolves, zombies, or ghouls that will make their presence known. You’ll have to depend on the tractor driver to get you home safely.

If you’re up for the challenge, a general admission ticket also gets you access to the three haunted houses for a night full of fear. Witch’s Woods also offers two self-guided tour attractions. Let’s take a closer look!

Haunted Hayride

Legend has it that creatures roam freely in these woods. Do you dare disturb their peace by visiting them at night? The witches will try their best to guard you throughout your travels, but they’re vastly outnumbered by the creatures in the woods.

Castle Morbid

Castle Morbid is not the place you want to seek shelter at night. The castle is full of unrestful spirits who’ll chase you through the hallowed halls. Will you be able to survive the wrath of tormented spirits hoping to steal your soul?

Jack O’Lantern Jamboree

Need a break from the scares? Come visit Jack O’Lantern Jamboree. Here, hundreds of professionally carved pumpkins await. Tour the field to find the faces of classic Halloween creatures. This event is free for everyone, even without purchasing a general admission ticket.

Horrorwood Chamber of Chills

Learn more about the history behind the horror during your walk through Horrorwood Chamber of Chills. Here, you’ll explore scenes from your favorite horror movies in this free horror experience.

Vampire Passage

To destroy a vampire, you must burn the body. This seemingly simple task is anything but, especially when 13 men are dealing with a legendary female vampire. After having escaped her death, she now roams freely in the woods. Are you brave enough to walk the same fateful trail these men took years ago?
