Toyota Corolla L
The 2018 Toyota Corolla L is the base trim. It has a 1.8L 4-cylinder engine that gets 132 horsepower. It runs on a Continuously Variable Transmission with intelligence and Shift Mode (CVTi-S) that helps with smarter gear shifts.
The engine and transmission help give the Corolla great fuel-efficiency. It gets an EPA-estimated 36 mpg highway1.
The Corolla L is as safe as it is fuel-efficient. Toyota Safety Sense™ comes standard and includes:
- Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection.
- Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist.
- Automatic High Beams.
- Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
In the Corolla L, you’ll find a 6.1 inch touchscreen featuring the live feed from your rearview backup camera and Entune™ Audio. This six-speaker system has an auxiliary audio jack and USB port for syncing your smartphone. It also has voice recognition and Bluetooth® for hands-free phone calls.
Toyota Corolla LE
The 2018 Toyota Corolla LE begins to build on the standard features from the base trim. The interior offers more comfort with premium fabric trim and automatic climate control. Passengers in the back now have a folding armrest with two cup holders.
The dashboard gives you more information about your drive, too. A 3.5 inch Multi-Information Display gives you information on how the Corolla LE is performing. Customize it to report specs like tripmeter, current/average fuel economy, average speed and shift positions.
Toyota Corolla LE Eco
Slightly more power is available in the 2018 Toyota Corolla LE Eco. Its standard engine is a larger 1.8L 4-cylinder engine that gets up to 140 horsepower.
The LE Eco also features a CVTi-S and Valvematic technology, which allows it to be more efficient. It gets an EPA-estimated 40 mpg highway2.
Its extra power is reflected by its extra design features. It has a standard rear spoiler to embrace its sporty feel.
Toyota Corolla XLE
On the 2018 Toyota Corolla XLE, you’ll find the same engine as the L and LE, but with more emphasis on comfort and technology.
For starters, there’s the standard 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. Both front seats feature SofTex® trim and are now heated. There’s more to see above you, too. The XLE has a standard power tilt/slide moonroof with sliding sunshade.
The infotainment system gets an upgrade with the Entune™ Audio Plus with Connected Navigation App. This upgraded system has the full Entune™ Multimedia Bundle on a 7 inch touchscreen. It features the Navigation Scout® GPS Link App and SiriusXM® Satellite Radio.
The technology extends to outside the car too. The Smart Key System® allows for remote keyless entry.
While the drive will be easier with navigation, it’ll also feel a little more refined. The Corolla XLE has a standard leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Toyota Corolla SE
The next trim, the 2018 Toyota Corolla SE, goes back to the 132 horsepower engine but keeps the sporty appearance. The spoiler remains, along with larger 17 inch alloy wheel with black accents, a glossy black mesh grille and a chrome-tipped exhaust.
Inside, there’s more freedom at your fingertips with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters to quickly switch between gears, and you’ll be able to adjust your drive train between Normal and Sport modes.
Toyota Corolla XSE
The final trim for the 2018 Toyota Corolla is the XSE. It features the same powertrain as the SE but brings back some features.
The front seats are heated and have a comfortable SofTex® trim. The driver has the luxury of a standard 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat.
You’ll also be able to let some light in with the standard power tilt/slide moonroof with sliding sunshade.
