5,000 & 10,000 Miles
The first maintenance check for the Toyota Corolla will be when it hits 5,000 miles on the odometer. This is when the following work will be completed...
- Check installation of driver’s floor mat.
- Inspect and adjust all fluid levels.
- Inspect wiper blades.
- Rotate tires.
- Visually inspect brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs.
After 10,000 miles, the above work will be completed again. In addition, the engine oil and oil filter will be replaced.
At the 30,000-mile check, you’ll get the above work completed, plus replace the cabin air filter and the engine air filter. You’ll also want to have the following inspected:
- Ball joints and dust covers
- Brake lines and hoses
- Drive shaft boots
- Engine coolant
- Exhaust pipes and mountings
- Fuel lines and connections, fuel tank band, and fuel tank vapor vent system hoses
- Fuel tank cap gasket
- Radiator and condenser
- Steering gear
- Steering linkage and boots
- Transmission for signs of leakage
100,000 & 120,000 Miles
The maintenance checks for the Corolla will continue pretty much the same way until the vehicle reaches 100,000 miles. At this point, you’ll want to replace the engine coolant.
If your automobile is still running well after 120,000 miles, then you’ve done a great job at keeping up with the routine maintenance. When the vehicle reaches this point, you’ll want to replace the spark plugs. You’ll also want to replace the vacuum pump (vane type) for the brake booster (VALVEMATIC engine only).
