2019 Corolla: Exterior Features
The all-new 2019 Corolla is now entering its twelfth generation, and with that comes a bold new exterior. The front fascia now sports an entirely new grille, with a sharp division between upper and lower sections. The result is a face that looks blunter and more muscular than ever before.
Plus, the Corolla is decked out with a stylish new set of headlights. Standard Bi-LED lamps shine bright and use less energy than conventional halogen bulbs-and they look sharp while doing so, too. Optional Multi-LED headlamps with integrated LED accent lights will take your head-turning power to a whole new level.
You can also raise your profile with a set of available 17-inch alloy wheels for the sedan-or 18-inch alloy wheels on the hatchback. They look sporty and really pop when set against this car's profile. At the rear, those sleek lines can end in either an available rear spoiler (sedan) or sleek hatch liftgate (hatchback).
Your Engine Performance Specs
Under the hood of the Toyota Corolla sedan, you'll find the same engine as in last year's model: a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder with 132 horsepower on tap in most trims (140 horses in the Corolla LE Eco). That's plenty of power to get you from Point A to Point B-and quite efficiently in the LE Eco, which gets an EPA-estimated 30 city and 40 highway MPG.1
The 2019 Corolla hatchback gets a new engine: a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, which can generate 168 horses for a more authoritative drive. You'll also like the fuel economy, which comes to an EPA-estimated 32 city and 42 highway MPG on the SE trim, when equipped with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).2
High-Tech Connectivity Features
The Toyota Entune™ Audio system graces both the 2019 Corolla sedan and hatchback, but it looks a little different depending on the body style you choose. In the sedan, you'll get a 6.1-inch touchscreen display, complete with Bluetooth® wireless and Siri® Eyes Free. An upgraded 7-inch screen includes navigation as well.
The Corolla hatchback is just as tech-savvy (and maybe more) with a standard 8-inch touchscreen, along with Apple CarPlay™, so you can pair up your iPhone and use some of your favorite apps, like Apple Music. While the sedan's touchscreen is expertly integrated into the dash, the hatchback's touchscreen exhibits some modern flair, protruding from the top of the center stack.
